Composer

ComponistHans studied composition at the Rotterdam Conservatoire with Hans Koolmees and Robin de Raaff. He finished his master degree with Ståle Kleiberg in Trondheim, Norway 2017. Hans his artistic pieces are often build on unusual orchestrations and influenced by folk music. Energetic rhythms or reciting chorals makes this post-modern music accessible for most listeners.
While Hans encourages post-modern music to continue developing itself, he also stands for a musical approach to the use of musicians. “Musicians should always be used to create music, and not to function as robots”.

Other than creating art, Hans is also keen on arranging and composing music in the more common genres. His first success as composer was when he wrote the klezmer-influenced “Taste of Paradise” for the DutchWindEnsemble. Also his Norwegian Christmas-Suite was well received in Norway.
